In April 2020, the residents of Fleetwood, PA, were shocked by the news of a 3-alarm fire in their town. The fire started shortly after 10 pm at 113 East Locust Street in Fleetwood and quickly spread, damaging a total of 4 buildings and several cars in the process. Two homes were completely gutted, and the remaining two were severely damaged. Thankfully none of the residents were injured, but it was a frightening and sad experience for them all.
Now, it’s a few months later and we have been working closely with some of the homeowners in the architecture design for the restoration of their homes.
Fire restoration is not a simple rebuild. There are many emotions that come into play, and many other factors.
During the assessment, the decision of whether the structure is solid and able to use or if it needs completely rebuild is made. After the assessment is completed and the salvageable is saved, we then move onto discussing plans. This is where you decide how you want your future home to be restored and what you want included.
After a fire, an assessment is necessary to determine if the structure is salvageable. If that is the case, then we begin the planning stage. Whether it is a partial restoration or a complete rebuild, we discuss what aspects you would like to see in the space and bring that design to life.
