When we think of Pastor Jim Farnsworth the first word that comes to mind is Outreach. In addition to doing an excellent job with his ‘normal’ pastoral duties you can find him helping craft with the Encore senior citizens in Birdsboro; making soup each month to give out to shut-ins, those in need and new families; playing bingo with the residents of a local adult home; helping to establish a ‘Joyful Noise” collection for local non-profit organizations; playing bagpipes for a Cake Walk at Catch the Spirit Sunday; honoring firemen and veterans at special services; and working at the food pantry. All of this and he has just started his ministry at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Birdsboro on August 7! We at St. Mark’s are blessed to have a pastor who reaches out in caring and service to us and God’s greater community.
